How soon did you get a positive pee stick?

Thanks for the beet ideas. For some reason, butter hadn't occurred to me at all. Going to try something with butter tonight. I love that I can cook up a whole lot and then season them in small portions. Keep the ideas coming. BTW, for those like me, who love beets but were intimidated by cooking them, it really is easy. Peeling them is messy, but quick. Latex gloves kept my hands from getting stained, and intend to keep using the same pair as my "beet gloves" until they tear.

Okay internets, when do you think I should do it? I was thinking Sunday, which is 9dp2dt (that's 9 days post 2 day transfer for those not up on the lingo, or 11 days post ovulation (if it were a natural conception)).

Those of you who've had success, please tell me when you got a second line. I've been fairly calm so far, but I'm starting to get anxious. I WANT TO KNOW!!

9dp2dt is about as soon as you can test, right? With the hCG shot sticking around for up to 10 days?

Beets--you can actually wash them, wrap them in foil, then peel them (it's much easier that way). The peel slips right off. One yummy way to make them is to bake them, grate them up with some lemon juice, walnuts, a splash of olive oil, and a bit of minced garlic and make a salad. Kind of a Georgian (as in the country) style approach.

I always tested around 7dp5dt, but my GC tested at 5dp5dt. I think you would be safe to test on Sunday. However, if it's negative don't get discouraged! I'm so excited for you and anxious for you to test! Sending tons of baby dust your way, Dora!

Shinejil, it's a frozen donor embryo cycle. So no hCG shot.

For past cycles, I googled how soon BFP on HPT and I saw one or two at 9dpo, more at 10dpo and so on. A friend of mind had BFN all the way up to beta day (14dpo) and her beta was positive. So... anything is possible! For me, I hate seeing the blank white stick so I try to wait but it never works. :)

Well, I POAS on 4dp5dt (9dpo) in the evening and got a faint line. POAS the next morning (10dpo) and the 2nd line was darker...got darker daily until Beta. GOOD LUCK!

I think the earliest I ever let myself test was 12 dpo and I got a positive.

I think you can test this weekend. Yay - you're almost done with your 2ww also!

Good luck!!

I also started testing right after transfer.. needed to see if shot was gone heh..
Tested + at 4 and 5dp5dt
I heard FETS can start slower/lower, but what the heck. go for it!

I did mine 9dp5dt, and got the positive. Here's to a loooooong weekend! ICLW

I'm one of those who prefer waiting rather than get a negative just because I tested too early (if it is to be a negative, I would like to see it just once, if at all).
Anyway, wishing you best of luck with this nerve racking last few days wait!

YOU"RE starting to get anxious? The title of that post nearly fell me out of my chair!!

I have no food advice. I'm not a great cook - acutally -it's woodfired pizza for us tonight!

And geez - stop making me jump already!

I tested positive at 5dp5dt (which is like 8 days past 2 day transfer).
I will be thinking TONS about you and hoping for a nice, strong line!

I've heard of 8dop positives so I say go for it!

I don't mind seeing the negatives because it might be too early. I would much rather know ASAP then wait until it would be more absolute either way.

Good luck!!!!

I don't know for sure when you can test but sending you all sorts of positive thoughts!

Oh I know you must be dying to test asap! I am not a patient person so I would probably test but it might be too soon. I am not sure but I can't wait to hear your results. I have everything crossed.

I tested 6dp6dt, and it was negative, so I don't have good mojo with the pee sticks! But if you want to do it, I'd get a bunch of them and just try it every day! Why not, compared to everything else they are cheap, so live a little. And then you are prepared in case it's negative - although I don't know what I will do this time around, to poas or not to poas...
Sending good vibes, and hoping with all my heart!

I usually didn't get a + until 15 dpo or so but this time it was 10dpo! It always depends on the day you actually implant and how quickly or slowly your hcg levels rise.

Beets- My mom learned that it's actually easier to boil them whole and then peel them as they don't leak as much or stain your hands as bad. When roasting, you just need to scrub them well and chop off the ends.

I'm in the don't POAS until your beta day camp. I mean really, you can drive yourself crazy with those things and the point is you are supposed to be relaxing! Why stress yourself out until you get your beta?

Jo said...

I have no idea...:) But I think I would probably make myself wait until the most probable day but then cave and do it day 9dp anyway....

I tested 7dp6dt or 13dpo and got a faint line. 12dpo might work but don't be discouraged if there is no line yet. Thinking good thoughts for you!

I hate to be the 'voice of reason' (especially when its clear that I'm not!) but I'd wait as long as you can to POAS. I usually wait the day of the beta to prepare myself. I have been known to be a POAS addict but to avoid false positives I absolutely stick to that rule. Or the night before the beta, but usually the morning of.

Good luck mate!!

Here via ICLW, just to say I wish you the best with your test results no matter what day that happens to be.

Dora. I POASed every freakin' day.
Because I'm obsessive and impatient and psycho.

I think I got a faint line at
8dp2dt.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!! MWAH!!!!!

Thinking of you heaps XOXOOX

Here from ICLW.

I tested at 7dpo to make sure the trigger was out of my system. At 9dpo I got a line. Of course, I was carrying twins, so that has something to do with the early line.

Good luck whenever you decide to test!

Um, can't really help you much - last time I was out of the country until 15 dpo, and I didn't POAS til I came back. It was a nice decisive line, though.

I'm fighting the urge to POAS too, even though at 7dpo it's kind of a waste of money.

I got a VERY VERY faint whisper of a maybe line around 8dp3dt but nothing looked real to me until 10dpt. AND I was told all along that frozen embryos can take longer to implant and to not even think about testing until 11dpt (ha ha!).
