I guess my mom’s okay after all

Saw this on Good Morning America today.

(EDITED TO ADD: The YouTube link no longer works. Here is a link to the video on GMA's website.)

Even though I pretty much agree with everything she’s saying, slamming your daughter on national television is unacceptable. IMO, octo-mom is a nut job, but octo-granny is a bitch!

My mother is not an easy person to deal with, but I think even she would know that the proper response is “NO COMMENT!”

I also find it interesting that the news stories speak of octo-mom’s $165,000 disability payments over 6 years like it’s a major windfall. Do the math, people! Over six years, that’s $27,500 per year. Where the hell did she get the money for IVF?

I admit that I agree with pretty much all that granny said and even think it needed to be said, although not on national television.
Funny thing is that the little blip of the interview with mom (I haven't seen the whole thing yet, I'll have to go find it) mom said the only reason she's getting crap for this is because she's single. Bullshit. It's not like other women with a good track record for carrying a pregnancy (even if getting pregnant is difficult) transfer 6 embryos.

Wow, that was bad. Bitchy mom must equal looney daughter! Those poor kids are doomed with a mom & grandma like that!

I think the whole story is a little cuckoo! I'm personally waiting for the whole truth to come out - I wonder if it ever will!

I agree with what she said just not the forum she said it in.

This whole story just does not sit well with me and this lady's mom is just as much of a whack job. It is driving me nuts! I wish the media would just stop paying attention to these people.

I, too, agree w/ octo-granny, but really....do you want to air all that dirty laundry on TV? Perhaps octo-granny is trying to garner some sympathy for herself. Maybe she is overworked? But really, go to family councilors, get some resolution, don't tell the masses.

I was thinking where she got the $$ from too.. apparently (insert sarcasm) she saved $100k working at the looney bin and hid it under a matress to save for future IVF treatments instead of using it to say.. pay for food for her other children or the mortgage she walked away from a few years ago.. alright I'm done...
