Suppressed and De-stressed

Have I mentioned lately how very lucky I am? The title of this post was almost “Suppressed and Stressed,” but Angrycanrn fought the good fight this morning and WON! All the crazy paperwork is done. The embies are out of embie jail and are waiting for me to grow a fluffy lining and come get some of them. I will have to firm up the transfer dates with the RE (who is on vacation, but will hopefully respond to emails via her crack.berry) and the embryologist, and then I should be able to book my flights and hotel. YAY!!!

So, my dear internets, what fun side effects should I expect from the estrogen pills I’m taking twice a day? I reduced the 1upron to 5 units last night, so hopefully the 1upron fog and headache will lift soon. Eight more days of little 1upron shots along with the estrogen, then just estrogen until the lining check when I’ll add the progesterone.

I’m just a science experiment. Hope I win the blue ribbon.

Thank you all for your good thoughts. Sorry I haven’t been a good commenter lately. I’m so distracted, foggy and headachey, but I’m always reading and thinking of you all.

I found the Estrace gave me a bit of heartburn, but otherwise I had no real side effects with the protocol for our donor egg cycle (which for me, the recipient is very much like an FET cycle protocol).

Thinking fluffy thoughts and doing a little victory dance down here in AL!

mate, thanks for the comment on my blog.

Wow...a d/e FET in 2.5 weeks! I'm terribly excited for you. And as girly and "first time" as it sounds, sending you tons of that sticky vibes shit and that other gooey baby dust crap that seems to work for everyone else!! This time around, it WILL work for you. Hope is a good thing!

I hated estrogen b/c of the massive elephantine doses I sometimes need to be on. my worst side effects are migraines and PMS (although hubby says he doesn't notice a difference anymore, haha right?).

I hope you feel better soon and if you don't, there's still good stuff in the air!

Cheers

Glad that the paperwork is all cleared up. We had something very similar happen when we did our first donor transfer. It was beyond stressful!
I am one of those people who LOVES being on Estrogen. I think that I must be low to begin with, so adding it to my hormonal diet was awesome. No side effects whatsoever...oh, except for these twins growing inside of me!! :)

Glad things are working out!! For me the only thing I notice with the estrogen is the freaking rash but I think I'm totally abnormal in that.

Hooray! Angrycanrn kicks ass. So glad that the embryos are out of jail and ready for you.

I never noticed any side effects from estrogen, but I never took them on their own so hard to say for sure. Definitely better than most of the other hormones. Hope it treats you well too.

so so so excited that things are progressing! woo!

Are you taking estrace via mouth or via the va-jay jay? I had to take it downstairs and had some smurfy side effects (including a VERY smurf like pap. heh) but I don't recall there being anything close to loopy lupron or KILL KILL KILL birth control.

Take good care of yourself, Dora. I know the fog of which you speak. It prevents all rational thought.

Good news on getting the embies free and ready for their lush new home!
